I've been in the insurance industry for a long time. Pretty much, I was a kid. My first job: working for Service Fire & Casualty Insurance Company, where I was promoted to claims.
We started an independent insurance agency in 1979 so we could "shop" for our clients and give them great rates "and" great policies. We split, changed name
